Science Fantasy Genre

The romance genre continues to be one of the genres of fiction's most popular to date. Novels of all sub-genres have two aspects of the plot that are consistent throughout. Firstly, the love story is the central point of history, and, secondly, the ending is emotionally satisfying. The genre has given life in 1740 with Pamela or Virtue Rewarded, Samuel Richardson, who wrote about a yard from the perspective of women. Jane Austen has helped promote the kind with Pride and Prejudice, a book that makes her a "master" of the novel.

Romance continued to be popular in the 20th century and shows no sign of slowing in the 21. Sub-genres of popular romance Erotica include historical, paranormal, contemporary, Regency, category, and Romantic suspense.

Georgette Heyer is the first to explore this sub-genre in 1921 with a novel set in the Regency period. (See Regency somewhat lower.) historical novel explores the romantic are set in the past. History is used to varying degrees – setting becoming part intrigual of the plot. When you write a historical novel, its important to do much research to be genuine and faithful to the novel.

Contemporary
A contemporary novel takes place in a modern setting. Currently, most of his writings on the sub-genre. This also includes the latest popular trend known as "chick-lit." Contemporary is not afraid to tackle modern problems like a wife of a balance between career and love. Keep in mind must be emotionally satisfying endings. If a contemporary novel or story end with a death or sad end, then his fiction published as women, not a novel.

A Regency romance takes place during a specified period of history. It is generally in England between 1811-1820, when Prince George (later George IV) ruled as regent for his father, George III () of the disease. A note interesting wrote Jane Austen Regency Romance, but remember – for it was contemporary romance. It was written during those years. Regencies based society and dialogue on the action and sex to capture the essence of time.

Paranormal
Paranormal is a sub-genre that is a good trend now. The main aspect of this sub-genre is that the novel is set in a fantasy type world. This includes werewolves, vampires, and more like fantasy creatures like elves and nymphs. The emphasis here is first novel, fantasy second.

Category
These are novels series mostly rejected by Harlequin and Silhouette. They tend to be much shorter than most novels. An interesting note: Nora Roberts has written his arms as a subgenus.

Romantic Suspense
This is known as the cousin to Gothic Romance. The subgenus current trend towards stories involving traffickers drug smugglers and others. Windswept moors and Spooky houses are trends yesterday. Romantic suspense is considered a good bridge of the novel at large public, the best selling market.

Fantasy is a genre that uses magic and other supernatural forms as a primary element of plot, theme, and/or setting. Many works within the genre take place on fictional planes or planets where magic is common. Fantasy is generally distinguished from science fiction and horror by the expectation that it steers clear of scientific and macabre themes, respectively, though there is a great deal of overlap between the three (which are subgenres of speculative fiction). In popular culture, the genre of fantasy is dominated by its medievalist form, especially since the worldwide success of the The Lord of the Rings by J. R. R. Tolkien. In its broadest sense however, fantasy comprises works by many writers, artists, filmmakers, and musicians, from ancient myths and legends to many recent works embraced by a wide audience today.
