Mythical Phoenix History

From the first pilgrims who came to practice their "reinvented" religion free from persecution of undocumented immigrants who now wander like Moses in the wilderness opportunities in search of a promised land economy, Americans of all ages have always believed in the end, alas, law – and reinvent their lives so regardless of their idiosyncratic choice, a trait that, ironically, came to define the core of our celebrities and icons.

When it comes to controversy and pushing the limits, no two people at a height greater than the Material Girl " Madonna and Janet Jackson. Their fans have argued for years over which you send more shock waves and the artist who is most valuable. The truth is that neither one has the singing chops of Barbra Streisand or the dance of Fred Astaire, but their ability to reinvent their devices made permanent music industry. With energy, hard work, and the lodging of the jaws, the powers of provocation have already become icons of entertainment and that's what you wonder what else they have rolled up their sleeves.

So what makes possible for some "stars" like rubber bouncing above and any other glue that ends the tarring and feather. Why has not the Crow known as the Russell fell into disgrace for his fits of violence (throwing a phone that would have been at the head of an employee Hotel), while others end up being One-Hit Wonders on the work of Bravo TV reality show with his wife and child.

Almost all celebrities Express a sense of invincibility and the ability to select their life, to reinvent the person they have one they feel they need now or want to be, and some do so repeatedly.

It is an ethics Fathers Founders enshrined in the Constitution, where before declaring our right to pray and say what we like (they had to amend it to do that), have ensured that we could declare bankruptcy and start anew without fear of going to prison for debtors. To be sure, as we like to boast that ours is the land of opportunity is probably more accurate to speak of the land of reinvention.

But in the race to reinvent, many celebrities may be losing sight of where they came from – and sometimes rewrite history. This is where I think we can separate winners from losers in this game of illusion and disillusion.

No mater how many times celebrities nip tuck, lift, or flatten, Despite admissions of child abuse, multiple personalities, tirades against psychology and conversations with strangers, the gem state crude still seem to shine are those that are based on an idea of who they are.

Take for example Paula Abdul of 80s MTV video fame. He could have take a decade or two, but she is back and continues to be the locomotive, it was also a dancer, but now it takes the likes of press and "Simon" with the grace she showed on the dance floor.

One recent redefinitions of the most charming is Teri Hatcher, the Desperate Housewife glory. Lois Lane in the new Superman "" It was strong, but vulnerable, quirky but intelligent and Wisteria Lane, she has aged gracefully and leave the awkward mom who is not afraid of being called a "dork" publicly.

To From Martha Stewart, who would not know a good thing if it bit her ankle (above his wrist under house arrest) for "J Lo" which was and never will "Jenny From The Block" with her Prada this and Gucci that, we must also admit, with enough money, a thick skin, and PR machine back, everything is possible.

In fact, you can even be a debutante of high society who made a porn movie, sued the man who has recorded and was then photographed buying multiple copies in a library book for adults Sleazy and again until the end smell of roses, or in this case as "Paris."

Tinsel town has come a long way since Plymouth Rock, but the natives are still restless and waiting next mythical Phoenix to rise from the ashes of the red carpet.

A geological surveyor by trade, English author CHARLES GOULD (1834-1893) was rather more interested in the strange ornithological specimens he collected on his journeys around the world. Mythical Monsters, the result of this deep and abiding fascination, is one of the classics of the field of cryptozoology, or the study of unknown or hidden creatures. Mythical Monsters reflects the curiosity for the natural world that [Gould] carried with him in his travels for most of his life, says cryptozoologist Loren Coleman in his new introduction. The book, naturally, dwells on geological mysteries early in its pages, merging in his thoughts on Atlantis, the Great Flood, and evidence for such events he saw written in the land. But the bulk of the book is about 'monsters' that intrigued Gould, including the unicorn, the phoenix, and the dragon. Monsters also features an essential section on the mysterious beasts of the ocean depths. This new edition, a replica of the original 1886 first edition complete with the original illustrations, is part of Cosimo's Loren Coleman Presents series. LOREN COLEMAN is author of numerous books of cryptozoology, including Bigfoot!: The True Story of Apes in America and Mothman and Other Curious Encounters.
