Hey there! I just asked a simple rule in Magic the Gathering, I'm going to use gleancrawler the Ravnica set as my. gleancrawler example is 3 colorless and 3 black / green so it is green or black can be played for each. when it comes to and protection spells, etc., is classified gleancrawler green and black? or just the colors you've played to get him out? thank you.
If you pay 3BBB this will be a green and black creature. If you pay 3GGG, it will be a green and black creature. If you pay 3BGB, it will be a green and black creature. If you play from your graveyard, a library, or by hand without paying its mana cost (because of cards like Stronghold Gambit or Sneak Attack), it is still a green and black creature. Unless otherwise, the color of a creature spell or enchantment will always be the color of the mana symbols. In the case of hybrid symbols, they are both colors afformentioned.
