The feast of high-grade f / x Monster Movie D-War began when a young boy, Ethan Kendrick (Cody Erens) exposed to something radiating from a Korean breast old Jack (Robert Foster) antiques. Recognizing the importance of this event, Jack gives the child a powerful pendant, and speaks candidly to him about a mystical event that appeared very long ago.
In a small Korean village, there are five hundred years, a girl named Narin was born with a Youijoo (a magical pearl that confer omnipotence) inside her. The sky Bochun sent the protector and his apprentice Haram, to ensure that when the time came, the girl must be sacrificed to the Imoogi, snakes want transform into dragons by obtaining the Youijoo magic. The day came, the dark Imoogi, beet, and army destroyed a village narina, Haram and Narin taking with him for the giant snake that will accomplish his destiny to become a heavenly dragon by absorb the power inside her. But Haram and Narin who had fell in love unable to sacrifice their love to the benevolent Imoogi, they decide to kill their own set. The fate of ImoogiÂ's was dissatisfied and it would take another five hundred years until the next Youijoo appears.
Back to the future, when Jack tells her that Ethan was impregnated the spirit of Haram, and told him to look modern equivalent of his beloved Narin, who will be recognizable by a red dragon tattoo on his shoulder. And when the woman reaches her 20th birthday, it seems, she and Ethan will have the power to reincarnate Imoogi as dragons again.
20 years later, when Ethan became a TV news reporter (Jason Behr) in LA, he closely follows a series of unexplainable disasters occurring in the region, a signal that Imoogies made its way to Los Angeles, wreaking havoc and destruction to find Sarah (Amanda Brooks), the reincarnation of Narin. Through a series of coincidences unlikely, Ethan meets Sarah and tries to help her escape the wrath and beet army. With the entire city under arms, Ethan and Sarah must decide their fate of an own whether to defy the will of Imoogies again and let the city be destroyed or deliver Sarah on giant snakes.
D-War is the most extravagant Korean movie ever made, with eight years used for planning, production and mail, and more than two years for shooting action-live till wrapped, and become the biggest-budget South Korea's production by far (reportedly 70 million dollars).
