Fantasy Book List
I need a list of books … Any recommendations?

So, my English teacher was angry because I never no place in the silent reading time set aside in class. I am a fast reader and I finished all my books quickly (normally if I did like them or not). I was hoping someone would be able to recommend books. Fantasy is my favorite genres – I read, write, think, breathe and fantasy. fantasy books I've read and enjoyed include the Inheritance Cycle, Book 1-3, Harry Potter, 1-7; the saga of Merlin, by TA Barron; Avalon and Trilogy, also by TA Barron. Science fiction is my favorite next. I have always loved books of Pern by Anne McCaffrey, immensely. Ender's Game was wonderful too. While historical fiction and realistic fiction, come in. I read novels for children of the Earth and loved them. I'm not much for novels love, but I might appreciate, I am not really sure, as I do not have much experience in this field. … Any ideas? Thank you.

If you have not read Harlan Ellison, Robert Heinlein and Alfred Bester you have not started reading sci-fi … although I do agree, Ms. McCaffery is really terrible … Particular histories would Stranger in a Strange Land by Heinlein, I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream – a Harlan Ellison short story (it is a master of form) and Deathbird Stories. Alfred Bester, The Stars My Destination and The Demolished Man (Bester won the first Hugo Award for this) – Both Bester books are at the top of the heap. Want something new in Sci-Fi-do on Internet-Fi? Try William Gibson, he invented the term cyberspace when he wrote "Neuromancer" – another example Gibson definitive pioneer in the field and always produces great stories. Why not try Tim O'Brien – The Things They Carried: fiction novel compelling kinda take on the war in Vietnam … It is a very good read too …. the book by Michael Herr about the same Dispatches … I could not put it down. Michael and Jeff Shaara books on the Civil War, The Civil War Trilogy: Gods and Generals / The Killer Angels / The Last Full Measure is all equally good non-fiction fiction … and very well founded in fact – read exciting! When you just want to avoid reading stories by Stephen King Short like nightmares and Nightscapes – Legal fine! The novel I can recommend is Ethan Frome by Edith Wharton – a little book which is a literary classic, not a useless word and a story line that sucks you in. .. As literature, the novel is perfect because it ends tragically. It makes me want to tear it is so well done. Read on … It only takes a few hours of your life and you'll be greatly rewarded by this beautiful lesson in creative writing. I hope that these suggestions are useful!
