Celtic Mythical Animals

Mention of Egypt and one thinks of pyramids and pharaohs. Egyptian deities, however, were the basis of religion, which gave rise to great empires of Egypt.
Of all the pantheons in the world, Egypt is one of the most populous. With hundreds of deities be enjoyed at one time, Egyptian religion tended to vary according to areas of the country in which they lived, and function just as Pharaoh was power. To truly understand Egyptian deities, you need to understand why they were worshiped.
It is estimated that there were approximately 2000 various deities worshiped in the time of ancient Egypt, but some of them were "repeatsÂ" deities with similar characteristics and descriptions that appear with different names in different regions. This phenomenon is seen because only the time there were about 40 tribes in power and in different regions (later known as provinces), and each region has its own divinity. The only common features among them were that all manifested themselves on the ground like animals, and each of the gods had both male and female counterparts.
Male and female deities were always represented in similar ways. Males were represented with legs apart as if they were walking, and the females were presented with their legs together. Of course, this assumes they have been presented human form. Often, the Egyptian gods were shown in their animal forms, which could also be a combination of more than one animal or insect. When drawn or painted as human beings, they were all similar forms of dress and the costumes matched their human counterparts in high society. As for headgear (such as crowns), the gods were all that was in vogue since the Pharaohs or priests in the region where they were worshiped in Â-which gave more credence to the assertion that they were pharaohs divine.
Of course, some of the best known Egyptian deities are still known today. They include Osiris and Isis (the gods death, and the mythical origin of Egypt) are still widely cited in history and mythical contexts. The idea being judged by your actions in the afterlife led many pharaohs and other upper class Egyptians to build the great pyramids and become mummified, which is a big part of the history of ancient Egypt. While most modern Egyptians do not agree with how polytheistic ancient Egypt These deities are still a very important part of Egyptian culture.
